snapshots {renegade craft fair}

Shopping for handmade goods. My friends and I spent Saturday afternoon at the Renegade Craft Fair held at the Los Angeles Historic State Park. There were so many unique and pretty things that I left with some presents for myself, mostly jewelry and cards. However, my most memorable purchase was the strawberry lemonade popsicle from Front Porch Pops. It was perfect on a hot day. <3

splash cafe {pismo beach}

Happy as a clam. If you ever pass by Pismo Beach (and love clam chowder), you must stop by Splash Cafe.  Their clam chowder is rich and creamy with the perfect balance of clams and chunky potatoes. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. I ordered my chowder in a bowl with buttery slices of sourdough bread.  The two items are great by themselves, but together, it’s divine.

I can’t wait to go back!

Oh, and there’s cute art work on the side of their building. <3

birthday cupcakes {lark, silverlake}

Happy birthday, Sister! I stopped by my favorite bake shop in Silverlake, Lark Bake Shop, to pick up cupcakes for my sister.  I ordered a variety, but the Old Fashioned Ice Box (thin chocolate wafers layered with whipped cream– almost like an Oreo!) and Red Velvet are my favorite. She better get back from dinner with her friends soon because the box might be empty. Just kidding… maybe. <3

{happy monday} but first, coffee

Coffee time. Although I’m feeling refreshed after a fabulous five-day Fourth of July weekend, I’ll still have my coffee. <3

giuseppe’s cucina italiana {pismo beach}

Getting out of Los Angeles. Mr. Hibs and I took a short trip out of Los Angeles to the central coast the day after the Fourth of July.  We stayed in Pismo Beach, enjoyed crisp, clean air, and had dinner at Giuseppe’s Cucina Italiana. The restaurant was located in Downtown Pismo Beach, walking distance to the pier.

We started with wine, a caprese salad, and flash fried zucchini. For the main entree, we ordered the Vincenzo pizza (roasted peppers, prosciutto, mushrooms, and caramelized onions). After we were nice and full from a delicious meal, we moseyed down to the beach and caught the rest of the sunset.  <3
